Common questions

Why is a chore waiting?

A parent must open Parent Home and approve it before tokens are awarded.

Why did the child screen close?

Child mode returns to the family chooser after inactivity to keep Parent Home locked.

Why can’t I add another chore?

The Free plan supports up to ten active chores. Existing information is preserved.

How do rewards work?

A child requests an affordable reward. A parent approves it before tokens are deducted, or declines it without changing the balance.

Why can’t I add another child?

The Free plan keeps one child active. Extra Plus children and their history are preserved if a plan ends.

What happens if I do not use iCloud?

Your information remains only on the device. If the device is lost, erased, damaged, or ChoreMark is deleted, the family information may be permanently lost and cannot be recovered by ChoreMark support.

Does private iCloud backup sync my family across devices?

No. Back Up Now makes a manual recovery copy in the signed-in Apple Account. Later changes are not saved automatically, and this does not share a live family with another Apple Account.

How does the nightly reminder protect privacy?

The lock-screen message only says that the daily review is ready. It does not show names, chores, rewards, or token balances.

Where are printed schedules and rewards stored?

Once exported or printed, copies are outside ChoreMark’s protected app storage. Delete those copies separately when you no longer want them.
